Week 1 Day 3.
When I first began blogging I remember it was sometime around August of 2012. The first post I ever published on my blog I believe was a recipe for some Snickerdoodle Muffins my mom had made. Damn those muffins were so good. 2012..back when we didn’t have to worry about desserts having too much sugar or things being gluten-free or even dairy free. At the time Infoella was not born yet but Craftsygurl, my blog name back then was. I started creating my Pinterest and began promoting my blog like crazy! Obviously, my blog quality wasn’t the best but I was trying my best to keep putting my blog out there. I put so much time and effort into my blog that it began to be too much for me to handle so I deleted my blog. It was hard for me to constantly come up with ideas each week cause I was so young at the time & I felt like I was still discovering myself and my interests.
A couple of years later my mom and I were talking and I told her I wanted to start blogging again. So we kept discussing name ideas for my blog and somehow like twenty minutes later we came up with Infoella. I began blogging about my adventures and day to day things that I did. I promoted my blog on Facebook groups, other blogs, Instagram, Twitter, and pretty much anywhere you can think to imagine. But it’s not like school was getting any easier. In fact, it was getting harder. My time was basically consumed with school. So I made the decision that it was time to just get rid of my blog altogether. School was getting in the way of a lot and that really was my main focus at the time.
So after my trip to Hawaii in September of last year my passion for writing was growing. To me “Infoella” means everything. Writing for me is a sense of freedom. It’s not like writing an essay for high school or college where you’re limited of subjects to talk about. Blogging is a way for me to express myself and write the things that I want to talk about. It’s a place where I can have fun and be creative. There’s a huge horizon of things I can write about. My ideas have never stopped since my trip to Hawaii! Life is not getting any longer. Dreams take time. So start your dream now! Yeah there’s gonna be some bumps along the way. As I have noticed, consistency is key and without it, you’re not going to get very far without it.
Word of the week – auspicious: fortunate, hopeful
